"Lots of people know that Sunshine Academy is an excellent place for academic programs. Last year around this time, we still couldn't decide where to send my kid (at that time he was 6 year old at 1^st grade.) A friend of my wife suggested Sunshine and we thought it was a good idea. To be honest, we did not expect to send my kid there and he can pass GT later on. Both my wife and I did not care too much about GT at that time because we did not push my kid to learn anything at all. His 1^st grade teacher told me he was right in the middle of his class in academic before last summer. To go to Sunshine for us was that he would have a nice place to go for the whole summer and learn something there. We told Teacher Peng that we were here just to learn something and we did not want my kid to be stressful because GT was not the purpose we came here. My kid went there for his whole summer (10 weeks) and we are happy we made the right decision. He learned a lot there (not just for GT subjects).  When he went to the 2^nd grade, he was one of the best in his class. Also he had a very safe summer with the caring teachers. And finally he is accepted to GT this year. I keep talking to my wife that this is a miracle, because we really didn't pay too much academic attentions to my kid before we send him to Sunshine. This summer we will send him to Sunshine again for learning some more. So I tell a lot of friends, you don't need to push your kids badly just send them to Sunshine. "My kid went to Sunshine Academy last summer for three weeks. The teachers are very responsible and knowledgeable. The key and important thing for me is that Sunshine Academy provided a good environment for kids to know that if they worked hard they can get it. I highly recommend the Sunshine Academy School Summer Camp. My daughter attended their five-week summer camp last year. She enjoyed the camp and learned a lot.

During those fives weeks, every day the camp began with the vocabulary study, followed by the reading comprehension training, math practice, logic and analogy practices. It was a very well designed program. Teacher Peng is experienced, very nice and really cares about the students. My daughter really enjoyed their daily spelling tests. She also learned to effectively use her time at the camp so she could finish most of work at the camp. The kids had their lunches at the school cafeteria; they had daily recess at the school playground. They even had optional chess lessons 2-3 times a week.  My daughter enjoyed the chess lessons too. Overall it was a great experience for my daughter. 

I recommend Sunshine Academy summer camp programs without reservation.  I believe your child will benefit from their camp programs.

I strongly recommend Sunshine Academy that challenges children and prepares them to excel in academic achievement. My kids have benefitted from the program. They attended the Sunshine Academy Summer Camp last year and are currently enrolled in the after-school program. The instruction is exceptional. Besides math, they also offer writing (professional writing teacher from Fairfax County public schools) and drawing classes. Some of students' writings have been published in the "Anthology of Short Stories by Young Americans". Twenty-one Sunshine Academy students are on the National List of Math Kangaroo 2008 Winners! My 6-year old surprises me with his creative story and ideas to solve math problems. Teacher Peng is very knowledgeable, responsible, patient and nice. She has rich experience in teaching kids. My kids went to Sunshine Academy for entire summer last year and then the after-school program. They have made great progress in both Language Arts and Math. Compared with other after-school/summer camp programs we tried before, such as Reston Day School and Chesterbrook Academy, my kids definitely learned more at Sunshine Academy, and achieved more than we expected (National Math Competitions and writing short stories). We are very happy with their achievements.
